Vindö

Vindö is Carpe Diem Beds’ most spectacular and innovative adjustable bed yet. With its patented design, this adjustable bed is a unique product that will not only look stunning in your bedroom but also revolutionise your sleep. To create the impression of a floating bed, Vindö is installed on a slim pillar anchored to a stabilising floor base unit. The entire construction is tastefully hidden under a luxurious rug tailored to fit Vindö and to give the impression of the bed floating above the floor. Built-in lighting underneath the bed provides a gentle guiding light in the dark.

Bed with built-in massage function
Vindö is a versatile adjustable bed that offers automatic lumbar and neck support and head and foot rests that can be lowered or raised to suit your needs. Vindö offers several relaxing vibration massage programmes (wave, pulse or steady flow) to help your entire body relax and unwind. All of the bed’s features can be controlled using the complimentary wireless remote or the Vindö app with support for voice commands. The app is available for download from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Once you’ve adjusted the bed to the perfect position for you, you can use the remote or the app to save these settings for future use.

Wireless use of Vindö
Vindö can be plugged into a power socket, but the bed’s powerful rechargeable battery removes the need for it to be connected. This allows for a minimalistic placement of Vindö in the centre of your bedroom. Once charged (which takes approx. five hours), the battery lasts for up to 135 cycles.

Patented solutions for Carpe Diem Beds
Just like all beds made by Carpe Diem Beds, Vindö is designed to give you an ergonomic, relaxing night’s sleep that leaves you feeling revitalised the next morning. Carpe Diem Beds has developed a unique spring system and a viscoelastic bottom segment for maximum pressure relief and sleep comfort.

Carpe Diem Beds’ Contour Pocket System
Our Contour Pocket System is a patented spring system placed just below the surface of your bed. In the Contour Pocket System, the padding materials usually placed on top of the spring system are integrated in each individual spring instead. This unique spring system ensures each spring adjusts to the shape of your body, resulting in a sleeping experience tailored just to you. This allows your muscles to unwind, leaving you to gently fall asleep in a supremely relaxed position.

Visco Elastic Bottom Layer – a viscoelastic bottom segment
In cooperation with the Spinal Unit at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg as well as with massage therapists, Carpe Diem Beds has developed a patented viscoelastic bottom segment: the Visco Elastic Bottom Layer. This unique bottom segment, located in the lower layers of your bed, ensures the most burdened springs relax instead of pushing back against your body. Our Visco Elastic Bottom Layer reduces the pressure on your body and stimulates blood circulation. This allows you to sleep undisturbed for longer stretches of time during the night, leaving you free to sink into the coveted phase of deep sleep.

Customise Vindö based on your needs and preferences
Vindö is available in several designs. You can tailor Vindö to your needs, picking a fabric and colour to have your bed match your interior design preferences. Vindö is available as a single bed, double bed and king-size bed. Certain designs allow for Vindö to be combined with a headboard. Choose between a soft, medium, firm or extra firm mattress and complement it with a mattress topper. Double beds and king-size beds consist of two single beds placed side by side. Opt for two single mattress toppers for these beds, or create the illusion of one single large bed by picking a topper with a so-called ‘split’. This is a seam that divides the mattress topper in two at the head of the bed, allowing the two beds to be adjusted separately. Personalise your Vindö by choosing from Carpe Diem Beds’ 44 fabrics in many colours. All fabrics are certified to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 and/or EU Ecolabel.

Handmade in Sweden
Vindö is made by hand in Carpe Diem Beds’ factory in Sweden. Carpe Diem Beds offers a 25-year warranty for faulty frames and/or pocket-spring breaks, and a 10-year warranty on the motorised parts of our beds.

Wash & Care Instructions

Our beds are crafted with the utmost attention to detail and quality, using only the finest materials. Every design is carefully considered to ensure timeless elegance that will elevate any bedroom. With our commitment to durability and longevity, you can be confident that your bed will provide comfort and luxury for many years to come.

Adjusting to your new bed
When you first start sleeping on a new bed, it may feel unfamiliar, and your body might react to the change. This is similar to the stiffness that can result from exercising. It's important to give your body time to adjust to the new mattress. This process can take anywhere from a few nights to a couple of months.

With time, you'll notice the bed softening in the areas where it's used the most, particularly around the shoulders and bottom. This is a natural process, a testament to the bed's quality as it adapts to the unique contours of your body.

Mattress care
To keep your mattress topper clean and prevent it from getting stained, it's recommended that you use a mattress cover. This will also help to extend the life of your mattress topper. Find our mattress covers here.

To extend the lifespan of your mattress, we recommend rotating (reversing) the position of the mattress. This should be done once a year.

If you have two mattresses lying beside one another and often lie in the joint between them, the elastic core may become stretched, forming a gap. If this occurs, swap the position of the mattresses (if they have the same firmness). If the firmness of the beds differs, reverse them (it can be good to do this on a regular basis). This allows the feathers to revert to their original position and better retain their comfort.

Bed legs
Noise (creaking and squeaking) may occur if the legs are not sufficiently tightened. Check that the legs are adequately tightened.

Dirt and stains
Bed mattresses and the parts of the bed that are fitted with fabric may be cleaned with textile cleaner. To extend the lifespan, we recommend vacuuming the bed regularly. Before using any product on your mattress, see the care instructions for your chosen fabric.
